We will promote the safe enjoyment of rifle and pistol shooting among our members, the general public, and expressly the youth of the Menomonie area.
We will maintain and improve the Menomonie rifle range so that it will be available for future generations.
In addition to operating and maintaining the range, the Menomonie Rifle and Pistol club hosts several events open to the public throughout the year. These events include:
- Youth Muzzleloader day
- Woment on Target.
- Pheasants Forever Youth Shoot
- Veterans Shoot
- Hunter Safety classes
- Concealed Carry Classes
Unless otherwise indicated on the range calendar, monthly club meetings are held at 6:30 PM on the 1st Monday of the month. From April to October the meetings are held at the Menomonie Shooting Range (E6007 510th Ave, Menomonie, WI). From November through March, club meeting are held at the Dunn County Fish and Game Clubhouse (1600 Pine Ave East, Menomonie, WI). Members and prospective members are encouraged to attend. Meeting minutes and the agendas are posted in the member's area.
Membership fees are $20 per calendar year. Members are expected to volunteer for at least 20 hours per year in range maintenance and assisting in events in lieu of the $5.00 donation for using the range. Members may become supervisors after three months, providing they have attended at least two monthly meetings and successfully completed the supervisor course. Supervisors are required to volunteer to supervise the range an additional 20 hours per year and to supervise for eight hours at least one Saturday or Sunday during the months of September, October, or November, and to assist in at least one public event in addition to the one required as a member. Membership forms can be obtained at the range office, or a club meeting. You may also download the membership form here, but it must be turned into the range office with the $20 fee.

Menomonie Rifle and Pistol Range
The Menomonie Shooting range is owned by Dunn County and operated by volunteers from the Menomonie Rifle and Pistol club (MR&Pc). A donation of $5.00 is appreciated to offset the cost of maintenance of the range. All donations are used for range improvements and maintenance. The club does not recieve any of the donated money.
The county has determined the maximum hours the
range is permitted to be open for shooting are:

Although these are the hours the range is permitted to be open, the volunteers of the club sign up for the hours they are available to supervise. Check the range calendar for the hours a supervisor will have the range open to the public. A range supervisor must be present for anyone to be on the premises. INDIVIDUALS FOUND ON THE RANGE DURING UN-SUPERVISED TIMES ARE SUBJECT TO ILLEGAL TRESPASSING. Range supervisors are instructed to call the County Sheriff if people are found on the range without a Range supervisor present.

For your safety, firearms must be brought to the range in cases. If you bring your firearm(s) uncased, a range supervisor can provide a gun case to transport your firearm from your vehicle to the firing point.

- 18-100 yard firing points (2 are handicap accessible)
- 4- 200 yard firing points (1 is handicap accessible)
- 2- 300 yard firing points
- 4- 9 yard pistol firing points (all are handicap accessible)
- 1- Clay pigeon shooting area. A target thrower is provided.
Only paper targets and clay pigeons are allowed at the range. No firearms chambered for the .50 BMG or fully automatic firearms are permitted. Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult and under their direct supervision at all times.
Cardboard and tape is provided for the target stands. Pistol and rifle rests, sandbags, and spotting scopes are provided by the Menomonie Rifle and Pistol club at no charge. Sight-in targets and clay pigeons are available for a small donation.
