Gals and Guns- Firearms Familiarization for Women Only

This year, Gals and Guns will be held on at the Dunn County Menomonie Public Shooting Range on Sat Sep 19, 2026 .

      Gals and Guns is an event for women only. Experience shooting several different types of firearms in a safe environment while being coached on proper firearms safety, handling, and shooting by a coach well-versed in that particular firearm. The intent of the event is for you to enjoy the experience the sport of shooting. You only shoot the firearms you wish to. Everything is included; firearms, ammunition, targets, eye and hearing protection, and lunch. Water and coffee are available through the entire event. After a session in safe firearms handling, you will have the opportunity to shoot the following firearms:

Handguns, 22 rifles, AR style rifles, Muzzleloading rifles Trap shooting with a 12 or 20 gauge shotgun Archery- Hosted by the Menomonie Archery Club We always raffle off several prizes during the events. Raffles are cash only.

The session runs from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM with lunch provided from 12:00-1:00. The cost of the event (including lunch) is $40.00.

Registration Instructions

Read the Range Rules and Regulations.

    You must register for the event online!When registration opens, the registration form will show up at the bottom of this page. You may pay by cash, credit card or check. Cash and checks must be recieved within 10 days of your registration. The session is limited to 50 participants. Walk-ins will not be accepted. After the registration closes, we will NOT accept walk-ins on the day of the event. Payment must be received before Sat Sep 05, 2026. If you are placed on the wait list, you will be contacted when there is an opening and given instructions. If placed on the wait list, you do not pay until you have been notified of an opening. In order to maximize event seating, we will remove any participant whose payment is not received within10 days of your registration. Requests for refunds must be received before Wed Sep 09, 2026. Email Gals and Guns with your first and last name, and the confirmation number from your confirmation email. If there is a mistake or information needs to be changed, DO NOT re-register. Instead contact Gals and Guns with the corrected information and your confirmation number. Women under 18 must have successfully completed a Hunter Education or Hunter Safety Course AND be accompanied by a paid adult participant. The accompanying adult must register first. Include the adult´s first and last name, and their confirmation number (from the adult´s confirmation email) when registering the minor. There is no registration fee for the minor when accompanied by an adult participant. If you are paying online, you will be directed to the PayPal site.
Pay Pal will accept ANY CREDIT OR DEBIT CARD. You DO NOT NEED a PayPal Account. Any returned checks will be charged the entry fee plus recovery costs.
